Do I really have to notebook every day for 100 days?
No — and this is important. 100 Days of Notebooking is an invitation, not a requirement.
Some days you’ll write in your notebook. Some days you’ll doodle. Some days you’ll miss — and then return.
The practice is not about maintaining streaks. It’s about coming back to the page.
What if I fall behind or miss days?
You’re not behind.
There is no catching up required and no finish line to race toward. If you miss a day (or many), simply open your notebook again when you can. Returning counts.
What if I don’t know what to write about?
That’s very common — and very welcome here. You’ll receive notebooking prompts and ideas, but you’re always free to:
Write one sentence Make a list Respond to a word Draw, collage, or reflect quietly
Not knowing is often the doorway.
Do I need to be a “writer” to participate?
Not at all.
You don’t need experience, confidence, or a love of writing. You don’t need perfect grammar or beautiful pages.
Notebooking is for anyone who wants a place to:
Think Notice Process Be honest
What kind of notebook should I use?
Any notebook you’re willing to open.
Lined, blank, dot grid, old, new — all are welcome. There are no rules about size, style, or supplies. The best notebook is the one you’ll actually use.
Is this challenge free?
Yes. 100 Days of Notebooking is a free, community-based experience.
From time to time, you may hear about other offerings from Notebooking That Matters, but participation in the challenge itself is always free.
Do I have to share what I write in the group?
No.
Sharing is always optional. Some people share photos, reflections, or thoughts. Some people never share at all. Both ways are valid. Your notebook is first and foremost for you.
What happens if I join late?
You’re still welcome.
You can start on any day. There is no “wrong” beginning. You didn’t miss it — you arrived.
Is there a right or wrong way to do this?
No.
If you’re showing up honestly and gently, you’re doing it right.
What’s the point of 100 days? Why that number?
Because habits grow through repetition — but transformation happens through patience.
100 days gives you enough time to:
Build trust with your notebook Release perfection Let a practice settle into your life
It’s long enough to matter — and gentle enough to sustain.
What if I’m nervous or unsure I can do this?
That’s okay. Truly.
Many people begin feeling unsure, tired, or hesitant. You don’t need confidence to start — just willingness.
We’ll take it one page at a time, together, helping you build your personal writing portfolio along the way.
